10. KILL THE NOISE
Kill The Noise, also known as Jake, is the first one on our list of artists to follow on social media. He has been in the music scene for ages now and is definitely a pioneer for the heavier side of dance music. His song ‘Fuk Ur MGMT’ off of his Occult Classic album, is one of our personally favorites from him.
Jake is incredibly active on twitter, especially in the late night timeframe. He often asks eye opening questions or will just post whatever crazy thoughts he has going on his head. He is very philosophical in his thinking and it’s always fun to get a glance at his thought process. Sometimes he will do a thought purge and tweet out longer thoughts across a handful of tweets that are always entertaining to read.
you are in a simulation and you kill yourself then you wake up in another simulation and you repeat this, over and over. when do you stop?— к†и (@killthenoise) November 22, 2016
I think some of the most creative and original people I've come across on the internet also appear to be completely insane— к†и (@killthenoise) November 17, 2016
9. Party Thieves
Party Thieves is an ever rising Trap Producer that we’ve been listening to for quite some time now. He interacts very frequently with his fans on twitter and tweets a lot of funny phrases and pictures. Party Thieves has an interesting take on the current state of the music scene and how people should be trying to get more known as artists.
Party Thieves recently made a Mannequin Challenge video at one of his shows in Sydney, Australia. This video went insanely viral, with a couple hundred million views across all platforms. It is definitely helping him get his name out there more and more, which he is well deserving of.
Hayden, AKA Kayzo, is such a blast to follow on social media. He always tweets what is on his mind and he is not afraid to tell people how it is. Hayden has an awesome personality and is really true to himself and his fans.
He has really killer videos that he uploads to instagram of his shows and he really gets into his performance, which is awesome to see. It really shows his passion for what he does. Sometimes, Hayden will occasionally periscope himself making music or even showcase his live mixing skills in his room.
He’s got big plans for 2017 so make sure to follow him on all socials to stay up to date with his upcoming releases and events.
7. The Chainsmokers
The Chainsmokers are some of the most fun artists to watch on social media. They have really awesome tour videos, that were created by their good friend, and are very different from most tour videos. The style of video production they decided to use in their tour videos really spiced up their image and showed a whole different side of the two artists.
They are also very active on twitter and snapchat, which is surprising considering how fast they have skyrocketed to the top. They are constantly replying and retweeting people on their account and really engaging with their audience, which is nice to see!
Their snapchat can get a little crazy though. A lot of drunken nights can be seen from their snapchats, but there are also a lot of informative bits too. Drew actually shows how he makes certain aspects of their songs to his snapchat viewers.
6. Ray Volpe
Ray Volpe is a 19 year old dubstep producer that is an absolute comedian on social media. He tweets very frequently and usually has something hilarious to say.
He constantly lets the world know about his craving for subway and will hopefully get sponsored by them soon. He also takes hysterical selfies of himself for snapchat.
5. DJ Carnage
Dj Carnage has been one of the top rising stars of the hardstyle side of electronic dance music. This past year he went on a bus tour across america and decided to document everything for his fans. Every month or so he would come out with these YouTube videos for all of us to enjoy. Here is one of our favorites!
He is known for his crazy sounds and bass in his music and his videos don’t disappoint with that quality. He definitely made sure that his videos were up to par with the image he wants to display. Anytime you watch his tour recap videos it just makes you want to get up and party.
The video editing and effects are up there with some of the best music videos in the industry and that’s saying a lot for a simple recap video. He also has a pretty engaging Snapchat story that showcases him making music and playing jokes on his friends. Plus his laugh is absolutely contagious!
Slushii ,also known as Julian Scanlan, is #4 on our list for artists to follow on social media! He is constantly updating his fans with snippets of his shows on Snapchat. He also likes to throw some funny little skits in there for our enjoyment, they don’t always make sense but they are definitely funny to watch! Do be careful though because he does seem to have a lot of Snapchat takeovers by his friends!
Slushii is also very known for his consistency on twitter. He is very good at replying and talking to his fans and keeping them involved in his life. He also really likes to post funny photos on his twitter and instagram. Most of them are him on tour and acting goofy, but some are just pictures of random things he finds funny!
Marshmello is on our list at #3. He is one of the biggest rising stars of 2016 and with that comes a growing social media following. With the rising success of his career, Marshmello has done an excellent job of keeping in touch with his fans through social media. He often teases his music to his fans on Snapchat, so if you’re looking for a little early access you know where to go.
Our favorite social media uploads from Marshmello are on his Instagram. He is constantly uploading funny images with even funnier captions. A key part of Marshmello’s message is spreading peace through music and he is often trying to do just that with his social media as well. We need more people like this in world, people that are trying to spread love to the world through whatever means possible.
Getter was very well known for his presence on vine. Most people know him as the ‘Suh Dude’ guy, but he has a lot more to offer than just that. After phasing out of vine and venturing into other things like YouTube and Snapchat, Getter has really found his stride of how he wants to present himself online.
His YouTube consists of countless vlogs of him and his good friend Nick Colletti going out into the world and experiencing everything. Most of the time it’s just them in a hotel room being crazy and jumping around on beds. Nevertheless it’s very entertaining to watch, these two together is always going to make you laugh.
Getter is always very well know for his snapchat game. He is a very consistent uploader, especially when he is traveling for shows. One of our favorite aspects of getter is his ability to change his voice and sound like a completely different person. He’s always changing up how he interacts with fans on his snapchat and it makes for a very dynamic viewing experience.
1. Dillon Francis
Dillon Francis is our Number One EDM Artist to follow on social media. We feel that he should be #1 because he is so consistent with his interaction with his fans. Whether that be on YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, or even Facebook. He is always engaging with his fans and trying to make people laugh with whatever he can.
Dillon Francis is probably most known for his snapchat game. If you are not following Dillon on snapchat then you are truly missing out on an experience that can’t even be described in words. They basically consist of whatever Dillon decides would be a good character to portray for that day or if he feels like yelling at his pinata, Gerald.
Not only is his snapchat game insane, he also has some awesome Youtube videos he posts on his page. He recently got done creating a mini-series called ‘Dj World’, which consisted of him, Getter, and Nick Colletti acting like a bunch of different Dj’s. Most of the acting was improv, making the show even funnier due to their wacky personalities. The show came up in 10 different episodes spaced out over a month or so, and it was a must watch for a lot of people across the internet.
